Mark has joined David Miner & Associates in 2023 and will be entering his 35th year as an independent financial advisor in 2024. It all started in 1989 with North American Life. After graduating from the University of Toronto in 1987, Mark was awarded a Scholarship at Bowling Green State University in Ohio where he received his Masters Degree in Education in 1988.
Shortly after entering the life insurance industry in 1989, he was promoted to a management position with North American Life – During this time he received his Chartered Life Underwriter professional designation (CLU) and in 1998 he earned the Chartered Financial Consultant designation (CH.F.C.).
Mark is passionate about pioneering dynamic approaches to wealth building, with a keen focus on the strategic positioning and movement of his clients’ funds. He understands that for many, money is not an infinite resource. Consequently, it’s essential to make informed financial decisions. Mark firmly believes that involving clients in this process not only empowers them but also deepens their understanding and appreciation of their financial journey. He strives to incorporate techniques that optimize wealth accumulation, tax savings, and enhanced protection management, ensuring a more enriching financial life for clients.
Outside of his professional realm, Mark and his wife, Anna, cherish moments with their three daughters: Alyssa, Selina, and Kristen. Lots of family and friends time is spent up at their cottage near Gravenhurst during all the four Canadian seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall. Some of the many activities enjoyed by all are golfing, skiing, snowmobiling, hockey and many times just relaxing by the dock or enjoying a winters afternoon out on the ice covered Morrison Lake.
